about motheo skills

Fusion Shared Services – Fusion Shared Services a subsidiary of Motheo Skills is no longer active. Documentation, portfolios and any learners that where managed by Fusion will be rolled over to Motheo Skills Entity.

Motheo Skills Entity (Pty) Ltd is a 100% black, female owned, level 1 BBBEE skills development company. The company was established to respond to government’s need to improve skills levels of citizenry in the workplace and to curb the ever-growing number of unemployed youth. Motheo will partner with all institutions that government has put in place to eradicate poverty and promote economic growth through inclusive involvement of the previously disadvantaged groups in society.

The company has responded to COVID 19 by introducing virtual training/learning. Our qualifications are now tailormade for E-Learning. The learner/s would get access through to the E-learning materials through passwords and thus access the material and also upload their assignments. In short, they will be able to submit all their work through a well designed Learner Management Information System. (LMIS). The system, in general, would give the client, the Sector Education Training Authorities (Setas) as well as Higher Education and Training Department (HED) access to the system should it be required if they want to generate Motheo Skills Entity’s reports. Motheo is mindful of the fact that face to face contact might not be done away with completely because of the unequal economic structure of our society. Where that is the case,  our training would be done face-to-face but class sizes would not exceed twenty (20) and training would follow social distancing as that is the new norm for that kind of training.

We would also be able to assist other providers or companies that need to convert their material to virtual training as our developers who are mostly our consultants were trained by our preferred expert in this field.

Motheo has been involved on research in education and training particularly tracking and tracing studies of learnership graduates. The impact of learnerships as a whole regardless of the sector since the training principles are the same. The research studies would be led by Motheo’s research team and partner organizations. The most popular research aspect particularly for track and tracing of learnership graduates is the Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI).  Motheo also writes Education and Training materials for NQF levels 5 and 6. Our prowess in research has enabled us to do this because of the research wing at Motheo which is manned by   scholars who have done research with international agencies such as our Managing Director.
